What this is

Specification and build.

The PCDO is the elongated version of the polycarbonate dome: an oval footprint 11 to 16 feet wide and 16 to 28 feet long, giving 162 to 375 square feet. The length is what makes it usable as a room, a bed at one end and a seating area at the other, rather than a single circular space.

Same rigid moulded polycarbonate shell and crown skylight as the round PCD series, with aluminium-reinforced framing.

Do I need a permit?

Often, and the threshold varies by county. Structures over roughly 200 square feet, or anything with plumbing or permanent power, generally require review. We supply engineering drawings and load calculations for your submission.

What does the base need?

A level, compacted pad with anchor points. Concrete, timber deck and screw piles are all used. The anchor pattern is in the drawings and depends on the model and your local wind load.
