Specification and build.

Polycarbonate domes sit between a bubble tent and a glass dome. The shell is rigid and insulating, it diffuses daylight instead of glaring, and it holds its shape without a blower running around the clock.

Build

Polycarbonate frame with aluminium supports carrying a polycarbonate shell rated UV50 or better. A polycarbonate skylight is fitted as part of the shell.

Good to know

Lead time is typically 3 to 4 weeks from order. The dome needs a level prepared base. PCDTrio432 links three domes through connecting tunnels, so plan the pad for the full footprint rather than three separate circles.

Do I need a permit?

Often, and the threshold varies by county. Structures over roughly 200 square feet, or anything with plumbing or permanent power, generally require review. We supply engineering drawings and load calculations for your submission.

What does the base need?

A level, compacted pad with anchor points. Concrete, timber deck and screw piles are all used. The anchor pattern is in the drawings and depends on the model and your local wind load.
