What this is

Specification and build.

A hybrid cabin that runs either as a dry infrared sauna or as a traditional steam sauna over a 6,000 W stove, so one cabin covers both preferences in a household that disagrees about heat.

Built in cedar and sized for three to four, it seats a couple comfortably with room to lie down. The heating elements are silent, and a reading light over the ergonomic bench makes it usable for more than just sitting still.

Do I need a permit?

Often, and the threshold varies by county. Structures over roughly 200 square feet, or anything with plumbing or permanent power, generally require review. We supply engineering drawings and load calculations for your submission.

What does the base need?

A level, compacted pad with anchor points. Concrete, timber deck and screw piles are all used. The anchor pattern is in the drawings and depends on the model and your local wind load.
