What this is

Specification and build.

An infrared heat lamp made to mount inside the pergola frame or on a house wall. It warms objects and people directly rather than heating the air, which is what makes it usable in an open structure where convection heat would simply drift away.

The lamp is finished to match the pergola, and the element is tuned to a soft yellow output rather than the harsh red of a typical patio heater. Developed and tested in Norway. Order one to four units depending on the size of the space and where you want the heat concentrated.

Specifications

1,500 W infrared heating element
Remote control
Rated IPX5 for water resistance
Heating tube life: approximately 5,000 hours
Supplied with a 6.2 ft cable and standard plug

Before you order

Do I need a permit?

Often, and the threshold varies by county. Structures over roughly 200 square feet, or anything with plumbing or permanent power, generally require review. We supply engineering drawings and load calculations for your submission.

Before you order

What does the base need?

A level, compacted pad with anchor points. Concrete, timber deck and screw piles are all used. The anchor pattern is in the drawings and depends on the model and your local wind load.

Which model fits the site?

Call us with the site dimensions, your winter low and how you plan to use it. We will tell you which models fit and what each one costs delivered. The price on the page is the price you pay, one unit or ten.
