Specification and build.
The same 37°F plunge with the two pieces most owners end up buying separately: a heavy-duty step rated to 500 lb, and a weather-resistant bar counter that gives you somewhere to set a towel, a timer or a drink within reach of the tub.
The step matters more than it sounds. Getting into and out of a four-foot tub of near-freezing water is the part people rush, and a stable, full-width step is what keeps that from being awkward.
How it works
A dual chiller holds the water down to 37°F and a separate purification loop keeps it clean between sessions, so the tub does not have to be drained and refilled around each use. The shell is foam-insulated and UV-protected, which is what allows the same unit to sit on a patio or in a basement.
There is no plumbing to install. The plunge fills from a hose, drains through its own outlet, and runs from any standard 120 V household outlet.

Do I need a permit?
Often, and the threshold varies by county. Structures over roughly 200 square feet, or anything with plumbing or permanent power, generally require review. We supply engineering drawings and load calculations for your submission.
What does the base need?
A level, compacted pad with anchor points. Concrete, timber deck and screw piles are all used. The anchor pattern is in the drawings and depends on the model and your local wind load.
